Good intentions

I began this blog with intentions to use it with my students on a daily basis during guided reading and center time. The kids would rotate each day so they'd have one day per week to read and reply to the blog. Unfortunately I haven't been able to try it because the students are only in third grade. I do think it would be a powerful tool that would help strengthen their writing, technology, and creative thinking skills. Even if I'm unable to use it with my students, creating this blog has been a learning experience for me. I feel more confident and comfortable as I've customized it and added the gadgets.

I've realized I really like using Photobucket. I currently use Kodak Easy Share Gallery at home to organize and share my family pics, but I think I like this better. I'm thinking of switching over for my personal photos!

Let's Get This Blog Started

So I'm having lots of fun with these weekly questions, but I now need to figure out how to actually use this with my kids. Any insights on how I can access an email account for each third grader? Is this something the district will even allow?
